Scott Wachenheim

Scott Wachenheim  - VMI Head Football Coach, played football for the Air Force Academy. Even before serving as an Air Force officer, he was an offensive coordinator for the Air Force junior varsity squad. After serving his active duty commitment ,he went right back to coaching football. With over 30 years of experience in the college and professional ranks, Scott landed at VMI in 2014. He has steadily turned the VMI football. This season they went out with a bang,  winning the Military Classic of the South and the Southern Conference Championship.  Coach Wachenheim led the Keydets to their first-ever FCS playoff appearance and earned the Bobby Ross Coach of the Year award.
