The Veteran Shark Tank – Eighth Edition will splash on the scene on December 7, 2020. Applications for Military Veteran Businesses to pitch their company and have a chance for the $50,000 First Prize close on October 19.
The Spotlight
Alex Archawski is the Founder of the Veteran Shark Tank. He steps into the Spotlight on the VeteranCrowd Network today.
Born in France, Archawski immigrated to the US as a young boy, sailing into New York beneath the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. A family of service, his grandfather was an infantry officer who survived the trenches of WWI with the French Army, and his father served in the French Navy.
Following their footsteps, Archawski enlisted in the US Navy and served as a rescue swimmer and later in small boats in the Navy Reserve.
For the past decade, Archawski has been very active within the veteran community in the Greater Philadelphia area. He helped form the Greater Philadelphia Veteran Network, an organization devoted to connecting veterans and get them supporting one another. This network boasts over a thousand members and businesses in the region.
The Veteran Shark Tank event promises to be unique this season, going virtual to overcome pandemic challenges.
The keynote speaker will be NASCAR Driver and Naval Academy alumnus Jesse Iwuji, who was a previous guest on The Spotlight (listen to that episode here).
